Make a Difference

As part of our strategic plan for 2019-2020, we decided we wanted to “Make A Difference” in our state and communities by supporting other organizations that make a difference in families across North Carolina.

2019

  • Held a raffle and donated $850 to the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence
  • Participated in the April 13 “Tom Moore Memorial 5K” in Boone, NC.  This walk benefited Huntington’s Disease Research and Education.
  • Participated in the “Transforming Lives 5K” which was held in Concord, NC on May 18 which benefited Paws4People.  Paws4People is a nonprofit organization designed to give people with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities assistance through canine companionships.
